Located 120 miles south of Chicago and 60 miles north of Indianapolis, just off of I-65, is an enchanting community steeped in history yet overflowing with the contemporary flair of a Big Ten university town. Home of Purdue University, one of the 25 largest universities in the country, the Lafayette/West Lafayette area is nestled along the banks of the Wabash River.
The Tippecanoe Battlefield, Prophetstown State Park and Historic Prophetstown provide visitors a unique opportunity to explore the rich history of struggles between settlers and Native American tribes and how this land developed and has been used over the centuries.
Recently designated as one of Indiana's first Arts Districts, the local atmosphere is charged with stimulating creativity.
